First Steps Women’s Centre (FSWC) is seeking an experienced and compassionate photographer to capture portraits of migrant women living in Mid Ulster. These portraits will celebrate the personal migration journeys, cultural heritage, and new opportunities since arriving in Northern Ireland. The photographs will form part of our ‘Heritage Journeys: Voices of Migrant Women in Mid Ulster’ project, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund – thanks to National Lottery players, and will be exhibited at the Linen Hall Library.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in portrait photography.
- Can work sensitively with participants, using creativity and culturally sensitive approaches.
- Delivers professional, high quality photographs.
- Shares our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Scope of work includes: Capture 100 high quality portraits, ensuring all images meet the client's brand guidelines and technical standards before exhibition. Demonstrate an ability to find creative solutions and deliver engaging and endearing images, even in challenging or less visually interesting settings. Ability to work flexibly, efficiently and deliver high-quality images quickly, particularly for media and event-related assignments. Agree to comply with digital licensing requirements under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
